Global Integration of Graduate Programmes

This is the fourth GIGP Conference building on the successes of Kiev, Amman and Irkutsk where the academics interested in Tempus were given the opportunity to discuss the constraints and challenges met to turn international educational co-operation into a contribution to European Integration. We hope that it will continue to interest our regular participants but also provide a stimulus to new delegates whom we welcome most warmly.
The conference is hosted this year by the University of Split, Croatia. Educational experts from Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, UK and other countries will attend. It will discuss general issues involved in designing and running graduate programmes with institutions from different countries including accreditation and quality assurance.
A key aspect of the European Higher Education Area that will become operational in 2010 is convergence. It has therefore been decided to centre the conference around convergence issues. In particular, we will examine four levels - the European level ( which includes the Tempus Programme), the National level ( focussing on the link between the Ministries and their Institutions) , the University level and the Project Level i.e. the Graduate Programmes themselves.
Fuller details are given under the heading Themes and papers are invited on all areas.please visit the offcial web
